The Seduction in Starlight by Natasha Pierce | A Review

The Seduction in Starlight

Hi there!!!!
Welcome to Quills and Pages. This is Quills and today I will review another amazing read The Seduction in Starlight written by Natasha Pierce. This book hooked me from the very first scene. The vibe was cozy so I kept reading until the very end and then I realized I read it in one sitting.

Blurb

When given the chance, do you trust fate, or only yourself?

When I was fourteen, my whole existence was shredded, setting me on a path to a new future… if I could survive my training.

Four years later, my powers are under control, and I am ready to return to my life on Naesala. However, as I enter Terranea Academy with my best friend in tow, I find life is very different from when I left.

The unexpected ire of jealous females surrounds me thanks to the unwanted attention of three males at the academy: my long lost dragon crush, the mysterious loner mage, and my irresistible incubus step-brother. I am determined to overcome and survive, but the shell I’ve built for myself doesn’t seem as tough as it once did.

As the bullying worsens, I find myself in increasingly dire situations, and being on constant alert throws me into a life of living hell I long to escape. I do my best to ignore them and deflect their attacks, but I have come to realize one thing: I can’t rely on anyone else.

What happens when I find myself truly alone? Will the stars guide me home, or will I fall at their feet, defeat staining my worn down soul?

MY REVIEW
The Seduction in Starlight is the first book in the series and the second book is going to release soon. The story start from Harbor (our FMC) leaving to go to underwater world. Their is also a rift between her parents because her father did not knew about her mother and her being Sirens. Anyway she left to live there for 4 years. After 4 year lapse she comes back and get admission to Terreanea Academy.

She is pretty happy to come back to start her education reunited with her best friend and live her life. but things starts to change. She encounters Khaos the dancer in a club and then her old crush Silas and then some days later another hot man Talon. Also her hot step brother Kane is trying to take an interest in her. But things go wrong with Silas and it led to huge misunderstanding which in turn led to girls bullying her.

She is dealing with all the bullying on top of dealing with the attention of these hot men. She is not use to attention so it is very difficult for her. Her bond with her best friend is cute. her relation with each of the men is also cute except Silas.

I love Harbor as a character. she is calm, collected, down to earth human being with a heart of gold. Kane is also another interesting character but there is some mystery surrounding it. Talon is sweet and very caring towards Harbor. Silas is a dickwad, always angry, always stalking her, obsessing over her and let his girls bully her and then claim she is the one stalking him. So it is a good push and pull going on.

I read the book in one sitting so this says something about it. This is written in a good way. There are some things in the story that I was not comfortable reading but on the whole the plot and story line is amazing. I loved the book and it's a 4 star from me.

THE PARTS I LIKE
☙ That our FMC is a siren is the best one.
☙ Love the parts where all the guys were obsessed with harbor
☙ The closet scene...how cool was that....you can just imagine what you want to wear and it will create that for you. that was🤌.
☙ Silas still does not know who is Harbor 😅, Can't wait for the reaction when he finds out

THE PARTS I DID NOT LIKE
☙ Silas's behavior toward harbor
☙ Okay I have to say it the MM romance I did not like. I mean that are all so alpha that I could not imagine something happening between them 😅. Anyway it happened and I was shocked.

The Awakening | Zodiac Academy Series written by Caroline Peckham and Suzanne Valenti | A Book Review

Alright, here I am, sharing my thoughts on the first book The Awakening from Zodiac Academy series written by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti . I decided to start reviewing this series as it falls under the 'enemies to lovers ' and 'bullies romance' genres, which are right up my alley. I'm a sucker for this type of book and I am always on the hunt for such books. Someone made a video of this book on TikTok and I was like I had to read it. So, I began reading the book and I fell into a rabbit hole of Magic Academy, hot assholes, and alternative Fae world. It felt like diving into a more mature version of Harry Potter. Needless to say, I absolutely loved this first installment. My Review of Gold Book 5 of the Plated Prisoner Series written by Raven Kennedy

I am having a mixed feeling right now. I just finished reading this 5th book in the series and I am......well, I don't know what I feel. This book was an emotional rollercoaster. It made me feel things.....things I have long forgotten....things people write books about.....I am rambling again but this is my mental state at this point....this is all due to Raven Kennedy and her books. I found this book series from booktok last year. It was not very popular but someone recommended reading it and when I read the series......omg 🤌🤌. The book is a retelling of King Midas and his golden touch but there is a twist in this book.....King Midas is a fraud in this book and he is keeping a girl prisoner who has the golden touch.   Here is the synopsis;  "Find me in another life. Find me in them all." Every end is also a beginning. I thought I was going to die, and would have if it weren’t for Slade. The only way he could save me was to open a rip between worlds. The only way for me

Where is Molly by H.D Carlton | A Review

Where is Molly is a stand alone book written by H.D Carlton. It is set in the Universe of Haunting Adeline. The story revolves around Molly...the girl we found in Hunting Adeline. Her diary was founded by Adeline under the floor and us readers always wanted to know if she succeeded in running away from that awful place.  Blurb A spinoff of the Cat & Mouse Duet... “Molly Devereaux has been missing for more than two weeks, and police are still searching for the girl who seemed to vanish out of thin air. The world still wants to know... Where's Molly?” In my dreams, I never escaped the Oregon woods. Life after death isn't easy to accept, especially when I still feel like a ghost. Now, I live deep in the mountains of Montana—the paradigm of beauty. But they are also the home of horrors. Horrors that I only unleash at night. When my pigs are allowed to feast. It is strongly recommended to read Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline before reading Where's Molly. Important No

Lightlark by Alex Aster | A Book Review

A Fellow booktoker recommended me this book. She talks about it all the time and makes really catchy videos featuring this Duology. I got interested and purchased this book. Lightlark is the first book in the series written by Alex Aster. I got to know some pretty interesting facts about the Author and how this book was published. You should learn it too this is not my story to tell 😅. Anyhow I started reading this book in March and finished it one week. Somehow I got late in writing and reviewed all the books I read in March. So now I am starting again. This is the brief of this book on Goodreads; Welcome to the Centennial. Every 100 years, the island of Lightlark appears to host the Centennial, a deadly game that only the rulers of six realms are invited to play. The invitation is a summons—a call to embrace victory and ruin, baubles and blood. The Centennial offers the six rulers one final chance to break the curses that have plagued their realms for centuries. Each ruler has somet

A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber | A Book Review

This is the third book in the Once Upon a Broken Heart series . I would say a good conclusion to the series. I was not expecting things to happen in this book but it fills with twists and turns. this is the description of this book; Two villains, one girl, and a deadly battle for happily ever after. Evangeline Fox ventured to the Magnificent North in search of her happy ending, and it seems as if she has it. She’s married to a handsome prince and lives in a legendary castle. But Evangeline has no idea of the devastating price she’s paid for this fairytale. She doesn’t know what she has lost, and her husband is determined to make sure she never finds out . . . but first he must kill Jacks, the Prince of Hearts. Blood will be shed, hearts will be stolen, and true love will be put to the test in A Curse for True Love, the breathlessly anticipated conclusion to the Once Upon A Broken Heart trilogy.
