What's Up, Readers!!
Welcome to Quills and Pages and today, I am back with a Cinderella retelling. Reign of Cinders and Glass is book 1 of the Fated Fairytales series. This book is retold with so many amazing magical powers and supernatural elements that U was sucked into the story.
In a world ruled by immortals, her only hope may lie in the heart of their darkest prince. When my sister Belle goes missing, I venture deep into the cursed woods to find her. Ruthless vampires rule over our kingdom, and I’m terrified she’s been murdered like so many others.
As I’m searching, I’m caught by the worst immortal of them Prince Cassius, Dark Lord of the Bloodvale. I barely escape with my life, and the memory of his cruel beauty haunts me. So does the thought that Belle might be in his castle.
When I join the mortal resistance, I get the chance to infiltrate his stronghold. I’ll find Belle and fight the vampires from within. It’s not easy. I’m worked to the bone by a pair of wicked sisters and danger abounds, but the secrets I discover are worth it.
The castle is filled with magic…and so am I.
I’ll have to keep my mission and power hidden if I want to survive, but the prince’s stormy gaze follows me everywhere. When he chooses me as his personal servant, can I hide the truth? Or will the magnetic pull between us drag me to my doom?

MY REVIEW
First of all, thank you to Book of Matches Media and authors @veronicadouglasauthor and @linseyhallauthor for allowing me to read this amazing advanced reader copy. The book cover is beautiful screaming it's a Cinderella retelling. To be honest, Cinderella is my least favorite fairytale but I was so intrigued with this book cover, the map art, and the blurb that I didn't even think twice and applied for the tour and arc review. I would read anything involving vampires.....vampires are 👨🍳😘🤌🏻.
This is one of those stories that are warm and give you a cozy feeling with a hint of danger and thrill. I loved every second of it. The way our broody vampire prince was obsessed with our Ella who is naive and fierce and an amazing character. There is another best part of the story.......the animals and how they communicated with Ella. each has their own personalities and it was so fun reading their interactions.
The two wicked Vampire sisters were the worst vampires in the land.....lol....they were ruthless, cunning, and impatient. I love how the wicked sister thing was put into place seamlessly in the story. Also, I admire the intrigue and slow burn of the romance. Ella and Cassius were on opposite sides of the whole scenario and still found a way to protect each other. On the whole, the book is a 5-star read. It was written beautifully. Loved the details of the castle, and Bloodvale in general. The exploration of the castle was 🤌🤌. The spying thing and secrets after secrets and the whole myth of magic disappearing.....highly recommend this book.

Before becoming a writer, Linsey was an archaeologist who studied shipwrecks in all kinds of water, from the tropics to muddy rivers (and she has a distinct preference for one over the other). After a decade of tromping around in search of old bits of stuff, she settled down to start penning her own adventure novels and is freaking delighted that people seem to like them. Since life is better with a little (or a lot of) magic, she writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance. Instagram here.
