Our Rating System
5 Stars | Cancel Your Plans.
This book had us ignoring chores, and staying up way past bedtime. An absolute gem we’d happily recommend to anyone with functioning eyeballs.
4 Stars | A Spot on Our Bookshelf.
A thoroughly enjoyable read with memorable moments, lovable (or delightfully unhinged) characters, and only a few tiny quibbles. We’d recommend this one without hesitation.
3 Stars | It’s Complicated.
We had a good time… mostly. There were things we loved, things we questioned, and at least one moment where we dramatically stared into the distance. Worth reading, but not without a few caveats.
2 Stars | We Wanted to Love It.
This one had potential, but somewhere along the way the plot took a detour, the pacing went on vacation, or the characters forgot how to make good decisions. It wasn’t for us, though another reader might feel differently.
1 Stars | Straight to Book Jail.
We finished it so you don’t have to. Between the confusing plot, questionable decisions, and enough red flags to decorate a parade, this one simply wasn’t our cup of tea. Even our TBR pile gave us side-eye.
