Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher – A Review

Terms and Conditions Lauren Asher

Some billionaires buy yachts. Some buy private islands. Declan Kane? He subscribed to the “get married, have a baby, inherit the company” premium package. If you’re anything like me, the words marriage of convenience, grumpy billionaire, and assistant romance would immediately make you go run and buy the book. It’s one of those stories that promises pain and suffering wrapped in expensive suits, corporate boardrooms, and lots and lots of unresolved tension.(You get the point, I know!!)

Terms and Conditions is the 3rd book in the Dreamland Billionaires series by Lauren Asher. On the surface, it will look like your typical fake relationship romance. You know the drill: a contract, a set of rules, two emotionally unavailable people insisting they absolutely won’t fall in love. But in this case, beneath all the billionaire glamour and forced proximity is a surprisingly emotional story about vulnerability, family expectations, healing, and learning that love rarely follows anyone’s carefully drafted terms and conditions.

So, did this romance deserve all the hype, or was it just another billionaire fantasy dressed up in a tailored three-piece suit? Here’s my honest review

Declan

I’m destined to become the next CEO of my family’s media empire.

The only problem? My grandfather’s inheritance clause.

Fulfilling his dying wish of getting married and having an heir seemed impossible until my assistant volunteers for the job.

Our marriage was supposed to be the perfect solution to my biggest problem.

But the more we act in love for the public, the more unsure I feel about our contract.

Caring about Iris was never part of the deal.

Especially not when breaking her heart is inevitable.

Iris

My plan to marry Declan was simple in theory.

Move in together. Throw a wedding. Have a baby.

We set rules to prevent any kind of issues.

Ones that were never meant to be broken, no matter how much Declan tempts me.

But what happens when our fake relationship bleeds into our real one?

Falling in love was never an option.

At least not for me.

My Review

This lighthearted and fun book was devoid of any unnecessary drama, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The chemistry between the characters was palpable, and their interactions and dynamics were truly addictive. I found myself unable to put the book down, eagerly turning page after page to see how things would unfold.

It was refreshing to read a book that was not only entertaining but also well-written. Lauren Asher has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you hooked until the very end. “Terms and Conditions” is the perfect book to curl up with while sipping tea in the evening, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable read.

One of the things that really stood out to me about “Terms and Conditions” was the dynamic between the two main characters, Declan and Iris. I loved the fact that Declan had been in love with Iris for such a long time, while Iris had always respected him deeply. Their mutual admiration and respect for one another made their relationship feel authentic and heartfelt.

Moreover, their work dynamic was absolutely amazing. They complemented each other perfectly, with Declan’s sharp business acumen and Iris’s creative talent. I found myself rooting for them both, both in their personal and professional lives.

Overall, “Terms and Conditions” is a must-read for anyone looking for a heartwarming and engaging story. Lauren Asher has done an excellent job of creating characters that you can’t help but fall in love with, and a story that will leave you feeling satisfied and content.
